Joseph Willie Schelette

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Willie Schelette will be at 3:00 pm Thursday, April 13, 2023 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery on Old River Road.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm in the Funeral home chapel.

Joseph, 75 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023.  He was born on March 12, 1948 to Willie Schelette and Mabel Page Schelette in Natchitoches, LA.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ervin Schelette; and a sister, Oma Solice.

Joseph graduated from Flora High School and Northwestern State University. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  He worked for SWEPCO as an Accountant for over 40 years.  He was a loving brother and will be dearly missed by his family.

He is survived by his two sisters, Helen Newsom and Eunive Trahan.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Chris Maggio, Robby Nichols, Dudley Conant, Dewey Page, Mike Trahan, and Ned Henry.
