Joseph Harrison Lestage

Graveside service for Joseph Harrison Lestage will be held at 1 pm on Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Maurice Cemetery in St. Maurice, LA with Bro. Scott Stilton officiating. Joe, 69 years of age and a resident of Montgomery, LA, passed away December 17, 2020 in Colfax, LA. He was born on February 22, 1951 to Joseph G. Lestage and Elaine Williams Mitchell in Montgomery, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chuck Mitchell; and a sister, Charlotte Graham. He is survived by his siblings, Sherry Picou and husband Roussell, Kevin Mitchell and wife Nancy, Jeff Guillott and wife Cheryl, Ronnie Lestage and wife Monica; a step-son, Jonathan Mooty; half sisters, Sandra Holliday, Linda Lestage, and Pam Lestage; a half brother, Jason Lestage; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joe possessed a heart of gold and was the type to have never met a stranger. He had a warm and friendly personality and was able to easily make friends with whomever he met. He enjoyed singing at church and also for anyone he could entertain. We will dearly miss him but we know he is reunited in heaven with loved ones that have gone before him.
