Joseph "Ghost" Trichel, Jr.

Joseph Germanigne Trichel, Jr., known by many as “Ghost” or “Junior”, passed away on October 30, 2022 at his residence in Crews, LA with his family by his side. He was born on May 6, 1948 in Natchitoches, LA to Guy Trichel and Marcile Ezernack Trichel. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rita Trichel; and brothers, Elmer Trichel, Jerry Trichel and Jimmy Trichel. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Flack and her husband Matt and Tiffany Rachal and her husband Dustin; grandchildren, Kayne, Traylehn, Brantlie, Adaleigh, Matilyn, and Tristan; sisters, Peggy T. Matherne, Dorothy Whatley, Sadie Elliot, and Maxine Ritter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Junior worked for many years off shore as a driller and was an excellent provider for his family. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. During his free time, he enjoyed trail rides and made many close friends with his horse-riding family. He will be dearly missed by so many that knew and loved him. A graveside service to honor his life will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Crews New Salem Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard-St Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 2 pm on Tuesday the 1st at New Salem Baptist Church.
