John Clyde Troquille, known as Clyde, was born on June 15, 1960, in Beaumont, Texas. He passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Gorum, Louisiana, on February 1, 2026. Clyde was a respected journeyman in the industrial painting industry, where he honed his skills and earned the admiration of his peers.

Beyond his professional life, Clyde was a man who cherished the outdoors. He found great joy in hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect and create stories that will last for generations. An enthusiast of the open road, he loved riding his motorcycle, experiencing the freedom of the wind and the thrill of adventure. Clyde was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation, which highlighted his rich cultural heritage and further defined the man he was. Clyde's warm personality and commitment to community were evident through his involvement as a proud member of the Natchitoches Parish District 1 Volunteer Fire Department, where he dedicated his time and efforts to serve and protect those around him.

Above all, Clyde loved his family deeply. He is survived by his beloved mother, Ethelene Cedars Troquille, and his brother, Paul Troquille. He took great pride in his role as an uncle to his niece and Godchild, Kindle Lesneski, her husband Sy, and their child Asher. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind two sons, a granddaughter, and two grandsons who will forever carry on his legacy. He was preceded in death by his father, John Raymond Troquille.

A service to honor his life will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gorum Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8th from 5 pm until 8 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include James Cedars, Sy Lesneski, Chris Edwards, Johnny Troquille, Raymond Schilling and his brother, Paul Troquille.

Clyde's legacy is one of dedication and passion for life. He will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
