John W. Bailes

John W. “J.W.” Bailes, 85 of Hammond died Wednesday, June 8, 2022. He was born on August 27, 1936. He was the son of the late William Jacob Bailes and Mary Bailes. He was also preceded in death by his wife Marie Berry Bailes, a daughter Linda Kay Bailes, and a son Johnny Ray Bailes. He is survived by his wife, Alice Perrin Bailes of Hammond; two daughters, Deborah Reynon and husband Randy of Lafitte, Sheila Mendez and husband Juan of Belle Chasse; son, Roger J. Bailes and wife Judy of Natchitoches. He was blessed with nine grandchildren, Amile LeBlanc (Matt), Ashley Dunn (Buddy), Randy Jo Reynon, Cody Reynon (Hilarie), Linda Cannata (Corey), Bryce Bailes, Roger Jacob Bailes, Tyler Reynon (Brooke) and Brandi Scurto (Stan); and twelve great grandchildren, Baleigh, Madyson, Kira, Evan, Landan, Raelynn, Gracie, Addilyn, Rhett, Liam, Ryder and Walker. A graveside service to honor his life will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Marthaville Cemetery with Deacon Guy Wayne Berry officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 am until 11 am at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Tuesday June 14 th . Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Randy Jo Reynon, Cody Reynon, Bryce Bailes, Roger Jacob Bailes, Tyler Reynon, Buddy Dunn, Corey Cannata.
