Jewel M. Goodwin

A graveside service for Mrs. Jewel M. Goodwin will be at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Ramah Cemetery in Ashland, LA. Jewel was born on June 28, 1929 to Louis Washington Stewart and Eula Williams Stewart in Natchitoches Parish. She passed from this life on May 2, 2020, in Natchitoches at the age of 90. She is survived by her children Carolyn M. Choate, Shirley F. Bedgood, Ruby J. Hall, Dennis R. McClelland, Carrie D. Massey, Linda S. McClanahan Choate, and Roger D. Bedgood; and a sister, Essie Lee Day. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Eula Stewart; a daughter, Brenda K. Jones; and siblings, Alvin D. Stewart, Louie E. Stewart, J.W. Stewart, Cammie Lee Huber, Jessie Mae Cox, Thelma Stewart, and Buddy Stewart. In the fullness of time A Life’s journey ends But love once shared Continues to live. And beyond this day….
