Janet Marie Johnson

A visitation for Mrs. Janet Marie Johnson will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. A committal service will be held on Friday, June 16^th at Keyes Cemetery near Fulton, MS.

Janet, 76 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away on June 13^th. She was born on November 7, 1946 to John Wiley Johnson and Essie Sue Wood Johnson in Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Sylvia White, Jackie Thompson and Bill Johnson; as well as her precious “Fur-Baby”, Sippi, a pug she truly adored.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim McElwee (Bill) and Regina Sanders; and a previous husband who still remained a close and dear friend, T.R. Byrd. She was blessed with 2 grandchildren, James Williamson (Corinna) and Miranda Allison (Lance) and 4 great grandchildren, Abigail, Caleb, Frankee, and J.P.
