James "Junior" Nolan Jennings, Jr.

Funeral services for James “Junior” Nolan Jennings, Jr. will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jennings Chapel Cemetery in Marthaville, LA. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday from 5pm until 8pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Junior was born on July 14, 1930 in Shreveport, LA to James Nolan Jennings and Lillie Mae Jordan Jennings. He passed away on July 17, 2022 in Natchitoches, LA. Junior is survived by his children, Sanford Roy Jennings, of Natchitoches, LA, Billy W. Jennings and his wife, Cynthia, of Clarence, LA, Joseph M. Jennings of Trees, LA, and Bobby J. Jennings of Natchitoches, LA; his brother, Johnny R. Jennings of Texas; 11 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Mae Jennings; a son, Danny R. Jennings; and his siblings, James Jennings, Helen Langley, Evie Mae Lambert, Shelba Fay Coutee, Myrtle Tugwell, and Willie Mae Monds. Junior grew up and made his living on the farm. He was loved by many. He helped those he could, when he could. He loved going to church and tending to his garden and flowers. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made his Junior’s name to Coldwater Baptist Church in Hagewood, LA.
