Isabel Sylvie Delphin Arceneaux

Service will be held Saturday, June 25th, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Iberville, La. Visitation will begin at 9am, Rosary 10:30, Mass at 11am, Father Charles Ray officiating. Interment will follow in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Hall following the burial. All are invited to attend. Isabel “Mama Bell”, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother went to her Lord peacefully in her home on Cane River at the age of 95. She was a vigilant servant of our Lord, a lifetime member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, a Christian mother for 75 years a and loved by all who knew her. She was born to the late Jesse James and Doretta Sylvie. She was 1 of 11 children and she is survived by her siblings Julia Brossett, Armand Sylvie, Rosa Llorens and Doc Couty. Through her first marriage to Joseph Phillip Delphin Sr., she became a mother to 12 children and is survived by all. Rose Delphin-Eugene, Gloria Rachal, Josephine Clairborne, Joseph Phillip Delphin Jr., James Delphin, Lynwood Delphin, Mark Delphin, Bernice Delphin-Christophe, Julie O’Brien, Stephanie Landreneau, Francis J. Delphin and Sharon Price. Later in life she married Anthony Arceneaux and became the step mother to his children Tonrie Decoud, Nerca Arceneaux, David Arceneaux and Bruce Arceneaux. Through both unions she is survived by countless grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great children. Her joy, laughter, light and love will be fondly remembered. She will be deeply missed.
