Irene Nelms Foshee

Graveside service for Mrs. Irene Nelms Foshee will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. Irene was born on August 31, 1935 in Natchitoches, LA and passed away on April 14, 2022 at her residence in Vowells Mill, LA at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lloyd Foshee; her parents, Edgar Lee Nelms and Hazel Marie Duren Nelms; a sister, Eloise Honeycutt; and a brother, Edgar Nelms. She is survived by a brother, Billy Nelms and his wife Claudia of Tyler, TX; nephews, Delmer Rigsby and his wife Nancy of Converse, LA, Tony Honeycutt of Stonewall, LA, Douglas Foshee of Taos, NM, David Rigsby and his wife Ethel of Mitchell, LA, Michael Foshee of Dallas, TX, Richard Nelms of Tyler, TX, Aubrey Nelms of Boise, ID, and Lynn Nelms of Tyler, TX; and nieces, Bonnie Rivers and her husband Michael of Converse, LA, and Elaine Foshee of Dallas, TX. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Greg Howell, Gary Howell, Alex Ragan, Jacob Johnson, James Calhoun and Irvin Slaughter. Honorary pallbearers will be Delmer Rigsby, Michael Foshee, David Rigsby, Michael Rivers, and Billy Nelms.
