A service to honor the life of Mr. Hyman LaCour will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 10, 2020, at Abundant Life Church with Dr. Aill Harris, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 8:30 am until 10:30 am at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches on Monday, August 10th. Hyman LaCour, 73 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away on August 6, 2020, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on June 14, 1947 to Alphonse LaCour, Sr. and Josephine Beaudion LaCour in Cloutierville, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Alphonse LaCour, Jr., Samuel J. LaCour, Estell LaCour, and Annie LaCour. Hyman was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. He retired from Dolet Hill Lignite with many years of service as a heavy equipment operator. During his spare time, he enjoyed helping people clear land and working on farms in the area. Hyman was also instrumental in building different roads throughout the parish and was always ready to let you know, “I built that”. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved him. He is survived by the love of his life and his wife of 49 years, Elsie Metoyer LaCour; his children, Deborah Robinson, Lisa Harris, Denise Metoyer, Joseph Metoyer, and his precious Angel, Angela LaCour; and siblings, Dianne LaCour and Marie LaCour. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Kristina, Leslie, Meagan, Isaiah, Aill, Joey, Paris, Phoenix, Adriana, Ashley, Adrian and Matthew; as well as 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
