The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from 9 am until service time with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Henry Edward Llorence, Sr. was born December 18, 1938 to the late Lizzie (Chelette) and Joseph B. Llorence, Sr. of Melrose, LA. He graduated from St. Matthew High School in Melrose, LA and worked his family’s farm for many years alongside his father and brothers. He and his brother “Sonny” went into business together, but it was not long before his heart drew him back to playing in the dirt. He worked as a dozer operator for the greater part of his life. There are many roads in Louisiana and some in other states that were leveled by him. He took great joy in clearing land and pushing down trees…the bigger the better. His gardens were always too big, and he gladly shared his home-grown vegetables. He was happiest being outside and drinking a Miller Lite! Henry passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: James E. Llorence, Sr. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Regina “Jeannie” Sweeney Llorence; his children, Virginia D. Llorence McHaney (John) of Killeen, TX; Henry E. Llorence, Jr. (Monica) of Natchitoches, LA; Mary M. Llorence Robinson of Rosharon, TX; John I. Llorence (Cheryl) of Trophy Club, TX; Alice R. Llorence Robinson (Anthony) of Harker Heights, TX; Gerald J. Llorence, Sr. (Lori) of Ventura, CA; William Sibley of Glendale, CA; Warren Coker (Leslie) of Cloutierville, LA; Kenny Hill (Erica) of Natchitoches, LA; Daniel Hill (Nedra) of Baton Rouge, LA; twenty-five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four beloved siblings, Addie Mae Metoyer of Chicago, IL; Joseph B. Llorence, Sr. (Valeria) of San Francisco, CA; Lizzie Mae Metoyer, of Melrose, LA; Florence Morgan (Fred) of Melrose Park, IL. “Uncle Duck” leaves behind countless nieces, nephews and friends that will have a lifetime of stories and memories to share. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are John I. Llorence, Gerald J. Llorence, Warren Coker, Daniel Hill, Sr., Henry E. Llorence, III and Daniel Hill, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be John McHaney, Anthony Robinson and Aaron Coker. Cross bearer will be Henry E. Llorence, Jr.
