Geraldine (Gerri) Foster

A service to celebrate the life of Geraldine (Gerri) Foster will be held at 10am on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Dan Castleberry Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Robert’s Cemetery, Harmony Road in Provencal, LA with Dan Castleberry, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00am until 10:00am on Friday, November 18, 2022. Geraldine, at the age of 88, passed away at home in Houston, TX on Friday, November 11, 2022. She was born November 17, 1933 in Natchitoches, LA to Howard and Avery Hall. In 1952 Geraldine married the love of her life, John K. Foster Jr. and in 1969 Gerri and John moved to Houston, TX where they resided until her death. Geraldine enjoyed decorating her home and had a successful career as a Home Interior representative for many years. In addition, she loved collecting and selling antiques. Geraldine is survived by her husband of seventy years, John K. Foster Jr., her daughter Cynthia Castleberry and husband, Dan Castleberry, Sr.; grandson, Dan Castleberry, Jr. and his wife, Robyn; three great-granddaughters, Noelle, Jade, and Anniston Castleberry all of Houston, TX.; daughter-in-law Cinta Foster of Provencal, LA; Geraldine is also survived by three sisters, Melva Singletary of Natchitoches LA, Sandra Dragg and Linda Lieker of Houston TX. Gerri had many extended family members that she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her son Donald K. Foster and granddaughter, Christina Michelle Foster; her parents Howard and Avery Rhodes Hall; her sister Mildred Merrel; her brothers Kenneth Hall, R.D. Hall, and Jerry Wade (Buddy) Hall.
