Gayle Reece Phillips

Graveside service for Mr. Gayle Reece Phillips will be held at 2 pm Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 1:45 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include E.L. Greene, T J Carson, Cayden Greene, James Martin, Jesse Martin, and Chris Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Kirkland, Jackie Williams, and Andrew Kirkland. Gayle, 76 years of age and a resident of Pasadena, TX passed away on May 16, 2020, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 23, 1943 to Omer and Clara Louise Batts Phillips in Denison, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Amanda. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Ruby Kirkland Phillips; daughters, Maria Barron and Barbara Barron; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie, T J, Cody and Tommy; 4 great grandchildren; as well as a large extended family and many friends. He will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered as a great provider for his family whom he adored.
