Frances "Elaine" Thomason Allen

Frances "Elaine" Thomason Allen went home to the LORD early Saturday morning May 23, 2020. Elaine was born on August 3, 1939 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Mildred and Buddy Thomason. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and P.E.O. Chapter I. Elaine was preceeded in death by her husband, Hansel Joseph "Joe" Allen; her mother, Mildred Stephens Thomason; her father, Milton Willie "Buddy" Thomason; one brother, Blueford Edward Thomason; and one sister, Susie Thomason Brown. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters and one son-in-love, Stephanie Allen Campbell and Kenny Campbell; and Pam Harding, all of Natchitoches, Louisiana; four grandchildren: Nicole Stringer and husband Kyle, Hannah Jenks and husband Hunter, Cassie Mayrand and husband Gary, and Louden Wells and wife Sarah; thirteen great grandchildren: Louden Jenks, Aulden Jenks, Zanden Jenks, Eden Jenks and Arden Jenks, Aaron Mayrand, Katelynn Mayrand, Emily Mayrand, Kane Stringer, Ayden Stringer, Owen Wells, Payden Wells, and Lachlen Wells; two sisters: Tot Cargile of Nashville, Arkansas and Sherry DuBois of Natchitoches; a special friend, Floyd LaCaze, and many nieces and nephews. Elaine's family would like to thank the staff at Willis-Knighton South, Natchitoches Cancer Treatment Center, Elara Home Health, Legacy Hospice, and especially Dr. Destin Black and her team of devoted healthcare professionals. A private graveside service was held on May 26, 2020 at Oak Grove Methodist Church cemetery with Brother Steve McAlister officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 115:16 This world is not my home, I'm just a’traveling through; If heaven's not my home, Oh, LORD what would I do, The angels beckon me from heaven's open door, and I can't feel at home in this world anymore."
