Mary Francine Rachal Marlin passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 in Natchez, LA at the age of 56. She was born on December 16, 1965 to Frank Rachal, Sr. and Maxine Delores LaCour Rachal in Natchitoches, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Marlin; a daughter, Tyra Issac; a brother, Thomas Rachal; paternal grandparents Katie and Frank Rachal; and maternal grandparents, Della and Ednis LaCour. She is survived by her partner, Ray Hoover; sons, Samuel Robert Marlin, Frank Joseph Marlin, Christopher Johnson, John Reese, Lorne Welling and Duncan Stoker; daughters, Katie Rachal, Asha Helaire, Brynna Welling and Crystal Scott; grandchildren, Rylee Cook, Samuel James Marlin, Luka Fagundes, Joshua Downs, and Daniel Downs; great grandchildren, Skylar Marlin, Oliver Marlin, Charlotte Marlin, Kole Downs and Joseph Downs; sisters, Cher Rachal, Melissa Rachal, Stacey Welling-Rachal, and Mary Issac; and brothers, Michael Rachal and Steven Rachal; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. As well as living to surpass her nickname, Fran was a kind woman with a big heart. She would take in anyone who was in need of a place to stay or needed help. She dearly loved all her children and would move the world for them. She loved to camp, fish and garden but would forsake all that to spend time with her “Angel Baby”, Rylee. From playing with chickens and ducks to gardening with Paw-Paw Ray, the time she and Rylee spent together was always a precious time for her. Although she left us suddenly and way too soon, we know she was welcomed with open arms by the ones who went before her. On Sunday, when you were reunited with Daddy, we are sure he fussed at you for leaving us too early but we take comfort in knowing we will see you again. You will be dearly missed and, in our hearts, forever. A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
