Eula Hutzler passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She was born on July 11, 1933, in Fort Worth, Texas, Eula graced this earth for 92 remarkable years, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, dedication, and family devotion.

Throughout her life, Eula was unwavering in her commitment to being an excellent provider for her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy came from the treasured moments spent with her family, where she found purpose and fulfillment in nurturing and supporting those she held dear.

Eula is survived by her son, Travis D. Self, and her daughter, Paula Brocken, both of whom carry forward her spirit and values. Her role as Nanny was cherished by her grandchildren—Thomas W. Self, Johnnie Self, Tina Snoody, Elizabeth Moran, Shelby Simmons, Jennifer Vallee, Donnie McCollum, Glenn McCollum, and Alicia Rape—who fondly remember her warmth and steadfast care. She also took great pride in her numerous great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Her family continues to be a testament to the life she built through enduring strength and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Hutzler, and her children Thomas Self, Glenn Self, and Jessy Self.

Eula Hutzler’s life was a profound journey marked by the nurturing of family bonds and the quiet resilience of a woman devoted to those she loved. Her legacy endures in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her gentle spirit. She will be remembered with love and respect by all whose lives she touched.

In honoring her wishes to be cremated, a graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.
