It is with profound sadness that the family of Eula Mae Harris of Natchitoches announces her peaceful passing October 23, 2022, at the age of 83. Our family, friends and community lost a rare jewel. Eula was a caring Christian woman who had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She never met a stranger and treated all kids like her own. She had a knack for making people laugh and was certainly a soundtrack of laughter herself. Her spirit was captivating, and that smile was infectious. Her greatest accomplishments in life were her family. She was genuine, loved like no other, and was the glue to hold everything together. Eula is preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles Harris; her parents, Michael ‘West’ Washington and Essie LaCour; siblings, Mae West Washington, Rosemary Washington, Douglas Washington, Lee Mac Washington, Doris Washington, Linda Fuller and Nancy Washington. She is survived by children, Charles Harris Jr., Ricky Harris, Patrick Harris, Monica Harris, Rhonda Moran and Catherine M. Harris-Bennermon; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and siblings, Essie Harris, Heagy Curry and Z.L Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be October 29, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Natchitoches. Viewing will be from 9-10:30 a.m. with a Rosary at 10:30 am. and the Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Breda Town Cemetery.
