Family and friends are invited to attend visiting services for Eugenia “Sally” Abraham at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12. Father Blake Deshautelle will preside over the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father Derek Ducote at The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches on Friday, Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Memory Lawn Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Teresa Green, John Morris, Adam Walker, Matthew Walker, Stevie Kinard, and Ed McQueen. Honorary pallbearers will be Amber Walker, Jaydan Morris, John Lee, Mila Walker, Alexis Kinard, Crystal Sessions, Hayden Sessions, Ethan Boudreaux, Brandon Dobbs, Isabel Manshack, Kelsey McQueen, Paige Goelzer, and Jessica Goelzer. Sally, 66, of Robeline, passed away in her home Aug. 7, 2021. Sally was born in Shreveport May 2, 1955. She was raised in Natchitoches and worked for the Diocese of Alexandria, as well as St. Mary’s School, for almost 15 years. She loved God and church more than anything. Sally was a long-term member of The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church which was dear to her heart. Sally was a devoted mother and an amazing listener who treasured spending time with her entire family. She loved her role as a grandmother, and one of her favorite things to do for her grandchildren was make the best fried eggs in the state of Louisiana. She is the loving and devoted mother of Teresa Green of Texas and John Morris and wife Kristen of Natchitoches. She is also survived by two sisters, Terrol Kinard and Gloria Kerry, and husband, Lucky, both of Natchitoches; brother, Ervin Jordan of Yuma, Ariz.; grandkids, Adam, Amber and Matthew Walker, Jaydan and John Lee Morris, all of Natchitoches, and Paige and Jessie Goelzer of Texas; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Jordan; stepfather, Walter McFerren; mother, Gladys McFerren; aunt, Bernice “Pug” Beaudoin; her loving husband, Leo Abraham; and daughter, Debbie Green.
