Ethel Ann Dark, a long-time resident of Natchitoches, Louisiana, passed away peacefully June 22, 2021, at the age of 87. Ethel was born on September 7, 1934, in Clarks, Louisiana. Always a shining light, she touched the lives of many and will leave an everlasting memory on all those that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille Devall Smith and Albert Prentice Smith of Columbia, Louisiana, her husband, Billy Ray Dark, a daughter, Melody Dark Foshee, a son, Billy Ross Dark, and a great-granddaughter Piper Kate Bailes, all of Natchitoches, Louisiana. She is survived by two grandson’s, Brian Bailes and wife Jennifer of Natchitoches and Daniel Bailes of Altoona, Florida. The family would like to thank the staff at Natchitoches Community Care for their years of kindness and love as well as Hospice of Natchitoches for their compassion during these difficult times. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made in Ethel’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association. Graveside services at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches will be held Friday, June 25, 2021, at 10am.
