Funeral Services for Elliott Neil (Buddy) Hinton, 81 of Campti, LA will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Zion Baptist Cemetery in Fairview Alpha.
Elliott or Buddy as everyone knew him was born in Marthaville, LA on September 4, 1944, to his parents Frank and Alice Hinton. He went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Pollock, La. He served in the U.S. Army Artillery Battalion in Vietnam during 1968 and 1969. Buddy was a skilled butcher for many years before retiring. He was kind, loving, and generous to all, and a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend. Buddy loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with Michael (great-grand nephew). When he was asked what his greatest accomplishment was, he said marrying Wanda his loving wife of 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Wanda Hinton, sisters Ethel Moak, Bonnie Butler, and Sally Doughty, brothers Danny Hinton, Benny Hinton, and Mickey Hinton. Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Jerald Hinton and his sister Gloria Parrino, as well as several nieces, nephews, and lots of friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tony Parrino, Frank Parrino, Josh Huffman, Ben Book, Ian McDonald, and Kevin Kelly. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Grant, Gavin Parrino, Noah Parrino, and Nicholas Parrino.
