Elizabeth Ann Windham

December 21, 1947 — October 5, 2021

A Memorial service for Elizabeth “Beth” Bright Windham will be held on Saturday, October 9th at the First United Methodist Church, Natchitoches, LA. Visitation will be held at 10:00 prior to her service at 11:00. She was born December 2l, 1947, and died October 5, 2021 with her daughter at her bedside. Beth’s life centered around God and her church, her family, and the many children that called her “Miss Beth”. She will forever be remembered for the loving care she gave to so many preschool children. Those children who have grown often refer to never tasting macaroni and cheese and beanie weenies as delicious as Miss Beth’s. Her spiritual life revolved around her daily devotionals, teaching Sunday School and Bible study groups, UMW, Leader of Circle Group, and being a Christian witness in her everyday life. Her church family will miss her deviled eggs. Her grandsons will miss her chicken and dumplings and spaghetti. But everyone will miss the example she set daily that we all strive to follow. Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Wayne Windham, her parents, Sidney Bright, Jr. and Ethelene St. Andre Bright, her daughter Paula Geoghagan, grandparents Iliene St. Andre, Sidney Bright, Sr., Beatrice Bright, and sister Sarah Bright Maines and Tommy Maines. She is survived by daughter Shannon Oberle (Mark) of Madison, MS Her four grandsons, Austin and Braden Oberle, Ian and Gavin Carrasquillo of Dallas, TX, her sister Rhonda Kuhlmann, of Benton, Arkansas (Lee), many nieces and nephews, and her special friends that will miss her dearly. *In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church UMW Natchitoches, LA or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
