Elizabeth Ann Simmons

A gathering to honor the life of Elizabeth Ann Simmons will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at her residence in Flora, LA with Bro. Jeff Taylor officiating. Elizabeth Ann Simmons, 64 years of age and a resident of Flora, passed away on December 28, 2022 in Shreveport, LA. she was born on July 9, 1958 to L. C. Cobb and Betty Jean Hines Cobb in Natchitoches, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pud Simmons; one brother, Kelly Cobb; and two sisters, Oleta Hutchinson and Kerri Martin. Ann was a resident of Flora and a graduate of Natchitoches Central High School. She met and married Pud Simmons, and were married for 46 years before his passing in 2021. She was retired and enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and traveling. She also enjoyed dancing, and having a good time with her family. Ann was a true fighter. She was diagnosed with cancer and given a short amount of time to live, which she surpassed. Her diagnosis brought her family closer together and that support gave her strength to fight as long as she did. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Brandy Simmons and Marsha McFerren and her husband Mark; grandchildren, Jaykob Harrison, Dakota McFerren, and Hunter McFerren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends; as well as her beloved dogs, Holly and Ava.
