Dudley “Dee” Gilbert Fulton, Jr., 75, of Campti, LA, passed away on August 27th. Dee was born on August 23, 1949 in New Orleans. As a baby, he was adopted by his parents, Ruby and Dudley Fulton, Sr. Dee attended Natchitoches High School - Go Red Devils!!!
After Dee graduated from Natchitoches High School in 1967 he accepted a football scholarship to Louisiana State University. However, a car accident at the end of his senior year sent his life in a different direction. He went on to study at Northwestern State University and graduated in 1971.
Dee’s career included banking and working for the state as an inspector. He retired from People’s Bank and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture. Once retired, Dee followed the interests, sports and hobbies of his grandchildren. He was always researching his family’s genealogy.
Dee is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his children, Suzanne Clement and Dudley “Trey” (Kim) Fulton, III. Known as Pappy, he leaves behind his grandchildren Mark “Deuce” Clement II, Dylan Fulton, Zoey Fulton, step grandson, Taylor McCullough; his sister, Susan Hilton; and nephew, Stephen Hilton. Jackie and Junior are Dee’s faithful dogs, who will miss him dearly.
Services for Dudley Fulton, Jr. will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA on Thursday, August 29th at 10:00am. A visitation/reception will be held at 11:00am in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Methodist Children’s Home, FAUNA - Friends All United for Natchitoches Animals or the Alzheimer's Association.
