Dora Bailes Allen

Funeral service for Dora Bailes Allen will be held at 2 pm on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Marthaville Baptist Church with Bro. Richard Kaufman and Bro. Benji Colvin officiating. Burial will follow at Marthaville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Sunday October 4th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home and again on October 5th from 12 pm until service time at Marthaville Baptist Church. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Ronnie Allen, Wade Clemons, Shane Coleman, Doswell Hayes, Doug Hayes, Dean Hayes and Delane Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Anders, Randy Allen, Preston Bailes, Hunter Adams, Ward Allen, Ellis Allen, Jonah Elkins, Jaden Meshell and Rykar Anders. Dora, age 76 and a resident of Marthaville passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020, in Natchitoches. She was born on January 26, 1944 to Cora Bailes and Ella Irene Mullnex Bailes in Natchitoches. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 30 years, Earl Allen; and two sisters, Marie Ebarb and Charlotte Heister. She is survived by daughter, Michelle Brian of Marthaville; son, Elton Allen and wife Wendy of Marthaville; brother, Donald Bailes and wife Tammy of Zwolle; grandchildren Krystal Anders and husband Cole of Provencal, Hunter Adams of Provencal, Ward Allen and Ellis Allen both of Marthaville; great grandchildren, Jacely Lovell, Jonah Elkins, Jaden Meshell, Rykar Anders, and Brooklyne Adams all of Provencal.
