Funeral services for Donald Curry, Sr. will be held at 2 pm on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Burial will follow at New Nazarene Baptist Cemetery in Natchez. The family will receive friends from 11 am until time of service on Friday, July 9th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Donald Curry was born November 7, 1946, in Natchitoches, La to John Henry and Louisiana Curry. He departed this life on Monday, July 5, 2021, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital surrounded by his lovely family. Donald lived in Natchitoches all his life. He was a kind and loving person that would help anyone in need. He was known as a “Jack-of-all-trades”, which helped him attain his position as Maintenance Supervisor at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home for over 20 years. Donald’s biggest passion was rescuing stray or wounded animals and nursing them back to health. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Louisiana Curry, son Donald Curry Jr., and brother Arnold Curry. Those left to cherish his memory, his lifelong partner Marie LaCaze and stepson Cody, his son Alex Curry (Rica), daughter Angela Anthony (Chris), sister Lora Curry and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
