David L. Dale, Sr.

Funeral service for David L. Dale, Sr. will be at 11 am Monday, November 18, 2019, at Bellwood Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Matkin officiating.  Burial will follow at Bellwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. David, 67 years of age and a long-time resident of Provencal, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019, in Zwolle.  He was born on June 19, 1952, to Wesley David Dale and Amy Berda Cargle Dale in Shreveport, LA.  He was preceded in death by his parents, W.D. and Berda Dale and a brother-in-law, Eulas Broadway. David was a veteran of the United States Navy and honorably served from 1971 – 1977.  He retired after many years of service as a Policeman for NSU.  His favorite pastimes were racing, watching NASCAR, and he was a huge New Orleans Saints fan.  He will be dearly missed but always remembered as loving daddy, papaw, son, and brother. He is survived by his daughter, Jaime Parker and her husband James; son, David L. Dale, Jr.; sisters, Claudia Rae Nelms and husband Billy and Carolyn Broadway.  He was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Rodney Cross, Austin Cross, Payton Cross, James Parker, II, and Daniel Christophe.  Honorary pallbearer will be Dennis Scarborough.
