Funeral services to honor the life of David Lee Coolman, of St. Maurice, LA, will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Begbie officiating. Burial will follow at St. Maurice Cemetery in St. Maurice, LA. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time on March the 17th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. He was born on February 27, 1967 to Roy Coolman, Sr. and Carol Jones Coolman in Natchitoches, LA. He passed away on March 11, 2022 at the age of 55. He is survived by his parents and one sister, Jeanette Coolman of St. Maurice, LA; two brothers, Norman Coolman and wife Janet of Natchitoches and Roy Coolman, Jr. (R.J.) and fiancé Danelli Weaver of Goldonna, LA; a daughter who he raised, Megan and her three sons; nieces, Heather and Danielle; nephews, Austin, John and William; his girlfriend, Andrea Emmerson and her three children and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.E. and Odie Jones, A.R. Coolman, Sr. and Jewel Garza; and a daughter he raised and loved, Searra. He was a member of St. Maurice United Methodist Church where he helped collect offerings when he was younger. He adored his niece Heather Coolman and loved her like she was his own. He held many jobs through the course of his life but was known for being a mechanic. He never met a stranger and always was willing to help others in need. It didn’t matter if it were day or night, he answered the call to help someone fix a car or tow someone off the side of the road. He was always there for anyone in need. He was a good-hearted man and will forever be loved and missed by all, but especially his parents. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Norman Coolman, Roy Coolman, Jr., John Faccone, William Faccone, Billy Lloyd, and William Prothro.
