Curtis Cotton

Curtis Eldon Cotton, 90 years of age a long-time resident of Robeline, LA, passed away on December 28, 2022.  He was born on July 11, 1932 to Joab and Elizabeth Cordova Cotten in Robeline, LA. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his 1^st wife, Marie E. Cotton; 2^nd wife, Jenny Cotton; his siblings, Arthur Cotton, Bessie Hays, Joab Cotton, Jr., James Cotton, Brandon Cotton, Elizabeth “Cutie” Leach, Theodore Cotton, Pete Cotton, Jack Cotton, Huey “Boe” Cotton, and infant twins, Gene and Jane Cotton.  He is survived by two siblings, Ray Cotton and JoEvelyn “Dolly” Miller.

He is survived by his children, Richard Cotton and Candace McWaters; grandchildren, Kami Cotton Floyd and her husband Jason, Stephanie Rushworth and her husband Gary, and Meagan Maudlin and her husband Nate; great grandchildren, Stafford Floyd, Jack Floyd, Mason Floyd, Paxton Maudlin, and Liam Maudlin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Curtis proudly served in the United States Airforce and retired after 20 years of service.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.  He was a kind and gentle man.  We love you Curtis.

In following his wishes, a private committal service next to his parents at Beulah Cemetery will be held in the near future.
