Charles Dale
Moore
Nov 3, 1941 — Jun 29, 2026
Charles Dale Moore, known to friends and family as Dale Moore, passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on November 3, 1941 in Marthaville, LA to Raleigh and Eura Winn Moore, Dale lived a life marked by dedication, integrity, and the steadfast pursuit of excellence in every endeavor he undertook.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 44 years Bonnie and his daughter LeeAnn. He is survived by his best buddy and favorite grandson, Jesse Moore. He was the last living son of Raleigh and Eura Moore.
Dale’s early inclinations toward precision and detail shaped his career as well as his personal life. After graduating from Northwestern State University in 1964 with a degree in accounting, Dale’s expertise with numbers became the foundation for a distinguished professional journey. He served with diligence at the Cane River Waterway Commission and as an accountant with Texas Eastern Gas Company in Shreveport, Louisiana. In every role, his meticulous nature and sense of responsibility left a lasting impression on colleagues and associates alike.
Service was another cornerstone of Dale’s character. Answering the call to duty, he enlisted in the Army National Guard on January 26, 1965. Rising to the rank of Sergeant E5, Dale was honorably discharged on January 25, 1971. He earned the Expert Badge with Rifle, a testament to his discipline and commitment.
Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, Dale was a man of many passions. He found joy in the written word, penning a book of poems and even collaborating with a friend to write a song. The open road brought him a special kind of happiness—Dale cherished the freedom he found riding his Harley, savoring each mile. Underlying all these pursuits was his unwavering devotion to family and friends. Known for working tirelessly to provide and care for his loved ones, Dale was loyal beyond measure—a quality that endeared him to those fortunate enough to call him a friend.
