Charles Wayne Honeycutt was born to Phanor Honeycutt and Vera Tynes Honeycutt on January 17, 1945 in Vowells Mill, Louisiana. He married Shelby Lambert on July 19, 1968, and was married for 50 years and 8 months. He is survived by his two children, Paula Howell, and husband Greg; and Susan Lukens, and husband Robert. Also, his special sister-in-law Annie Lambert. Grandchildren Christopher Honeycutt and his wife Alyssa Honeycutt, Jace Morris, Tyler Morris and wife Meredith Morris, Brittney Baca and fiancé Daniel, Ryan Lukens, and by his precious great-granddaughters Karlee Brannon, Emery and Lily Morris. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his siblings Yvonne Holland, Lola Stewart, and James Honeycutt. He served in the United States Army and was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam war. Awards from his military service include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, two Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60, two Overseas Service Bars, and Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14). He was an avid hunter and had a great love of the outdoors. A service to honor his life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Cedron Cemetery near Vowells Mill. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time on the 4th at Blanchard-St. Denis. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are, Christopher Honeycutt, Tyler Morris, Ryan Lukens, Robert Lukens, Greg Howell, and Ronald Holland. Honorary pallbearers are Jace Morris and Donald Wayne Sharp.
