Charles “Gator” DeDon, 68 of Natchitoches entered his heavenly home on Friday, September 15, 2023, in Natchitoches. Gator was born on July 7, 1955, in Natchitoches, LA to his parents James DeDon and Shelby Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Eddie Bynog, sister Melissa “Cookie” DeDon, and son-in-law Dale Presson. Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters Tanya Presson and Tammy DeDon; two granddaughters Taylor and Kendal Presson; One great-grandson Jaxson Presson; and brother Joseph DeDon.
Gator grew up in Natchitoches. He was a truck driver for many years of his life. He was a loving father and pawpaw Gator, as well as he loved Jesus, his family, friends, and Gator mobile. Gator was one of a kind, to know him was to love him. There was never a dull moment, always telling stories and jokes, he was full of life. “Know What I’m Saying”
A memorial to honor his life will be held at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30,2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. with Boogie Bedgood and Bro. Tony Moran officiating.
In celebration of Gators beautiful life, as Honorary Pallbearers the family would like to honor anyone whose life was touched by knowing him. Too many friends and family to list. As he loved each and every one of you.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Be the Match, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Ronald McDonald house, or March of Dimes.
