Charlene Addington Foshee passed away on July 11, 2020. She was born on August 18, 1933 in Addington, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Smiddy Reavis, and stepfather, Wayne Reavis of Duncan, Oklahoma; father, Charles Garland Addington of Addington, Oklahoma, son, George Barnes Foshee “Barney” of Natchitoches, Louisiana, infant daughter, Christie Cheryl Foshee, daughter-in-law, Jane Rhodes Foshee, son-in-law, Ed Poole, and grandson-in-law, Gary Meadows. She is survived by her children, Paul Lee Foshee of Natchitoches, Louisiana; Fran Foshee Poole of Natchitoches, Louisiana; brother, Jon Scott and his wife Sharon of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Heather Meadows of New Orleans, Louisiana; Katie Kromis and her husband Roger of McKinney, Texas; Brandon Foshee and his wife Megan of Magnolia, Arkansas; Justin Foshee and his wife Mandy of Natchitoches, Louisiana; Laura Carrington and her husband Carlton of Double Bayou, Texas; Timothy Poole of Natchitoches, Louisiana; and Tyler Poole and his wife Ericka of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Survivors also include 11 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, and a nephew. Charlene grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma. She moved to Natchitoches, Louisiana in 1948 and married Paul Foshee in 1949. She later moved to Dallas, Texas and worked as a commercial real estate agent then managed several apartment complexes. Charlene retired in Natchitoches, Louisiana to help take care of her grandson Timothy. She adored all of her grandchildren. Charlene loved her family and her friends. She and her close friends could often be found playing bridge, having coffee, and watching the kids swim at the Country Club. In addition, she was a wonderful cook. Everyone looked forward to her cornbread dressing! At Charlene’s request, a memorial service will not be held. A private burial will take place later in Fern Park Cemetery.
