Bramblett Richard Dubois was born on March 16, 1946, in Alexandria, La. He entered the pearly gates of heaven on February 11, 2024, at the age of 77. Services will be held at Bay Springs Baptist Church in Chopin, La with Bro. Dwight St Andries and Bro. Tommy Sanson officiating. Interment will follow at Bay Springs Cemetery.
He was a graduate of Gorum High School and of Northwestern State University. On April 3, 1966, he married the love of his life Charlotte Garsee and was a beloved Father to Richard Jay Dubois and Sabrina Carol Dubois. He served in the United States Army from 1966-68 as an E5 Sergeant. Worked and retired at International Paper Company in Pineville, La.
He was a man after Gods own heart. He loved serving the Lord, witnessing to others, teaching others about God and had a heart of gold. He always gave a helping hand to everyone in need. In1979 he was ordained and became a deacon of Bay Springs Baptist Church and served there for 45 years.
Family was the utmost importance to him along with his love for his hounds and horses. Fox hunting was his favorite pastime. He was a judge for several field trials in La and Tx and was well known and respected fox hunter by all who knew him.
Proceeded in death by his Father, Ralph L Dubois, mother, Delsie Guin Dubois, brothers: Felder Dubois, Melton Dubois, Melvin Dubois, Ralph W Dubois, brother in law, Kenny Garsee, sister in law, Wanda Garsee Graves.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Garsee Dubois of Chopin, Son, Richard Jay Dubois (Sonya) of Robeline, La, Daughter, Sabrina Dubois Laroux (Buddy) of Zwolle, La. Grandchildren: Haley L Garcie (Anthony), Lakin L Collins (Jay), Hunter Jay Dubois, Brooke L Hopkins (Tye) and Keely Hope Dubois. Great grandchildren: Lillian Garcie, Vivian Garcie, Lucas Hopkins and waiting on the arrival of Emmett Collins. Siblings: Brent Dubois Sr ( Debbie), Bruce Dubois (Esther), Bertha Dubois Crosby, Betty Dubois Knight (Adrion), Alton Dubois (Lois), Michael Dubois (Denise) and sister in law Cynthia Johnson Garsee, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers: Guy Dubois, Buddy Laroux, Brian Dubois, Bubba (Felder Dubois Jr), Jason Dubois, Christopher Dubois, Hunter Dubois, Justin Dubois and Nathaniel Dubois.
Honorary pallbearers: Lance Dubois, Wayne Setliff, Lester Guin, John Vanaselberg, Reggie Johnson, Brett Dubois and all of his friends from Bayou State Dog Hunters Association, and Texas State Fox and Wolf Hunters.
