Bobby Crowley

May 15, 1947 — March 27, 2019

Bobby was born May 15, 1947, in Drew, Mississippi to Udell and Jack Crowley. He lost his battle with cancer on March 27, 2019, in Natchitoches. Bobby moved to the Natchitoches area as a young child with his mother and siblings. He later met and married Stella Vercher and together they raised twin sons and a daughter. He was a professional truck driver and traveled all over this country and loved taking his family along with him. Always ready with a joke, he was forever making us laugh. Despite hardships and medical difficulties he always worked and supported his family until he retired in 2010.  Daddy was a huge bluegrass music fan.  He would spend hours listening to the likes of Bill Monroe and Lester Flatt, while picking on his own mandolin. Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Stella, son John, mother Udell, sister Della, and granddaughter Sydney. He is survived by his son James and wife Julie of Marthaville, daughter Tonia and husband Acy of Provencal and special daughter Wannetta and husband Rodney of Robeline; grandchildren Melissa Crowley, Amber French, McKenzie And Kylee Crowley, Georgia French, Eric and Elaina Young and great-grandson Levi Cobbs; brother Buddy of Noble, La; sisters Faye and husband Aubrey of Many, La and Jewel of Wenatchee, WA. A service to honor his life will be at 10 am on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Provencal Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
