BJ Miller

September 5, 1998 — May 14, 2021

Bryan Allan Miller Jr. AKA BJ or Beej, 22 years of age passed away on May 14, 2021. BJ was born in Natchitoches Louisiana on September 5, 1998 to Bryan Allan Miller Sr. And Christi LeAnne Culpepper Miller. After graduating high school in 2016 he became sick with heart failure and was blessed to receive a LVAD to help prolong his life and hopefully get him to a heart transplant. After he was able to go back to work, He worked at Jim South Propane in Many, La. BJ loved hanging out with his friends and just living his life. If there is one thing we can say about BJ, is that he was a FRIEND. He was loved by everyone he met. He had so many close friends that it would be unfair to name them all because we know we would leave someone out. BJ had one of the best personalities. And would do just about anything for anyone that asked. BJ’s favorite thing to do was hang out with his friends and sit by fires and listen to music. In July of 2020 BJ had a stroke (brain bleed) in his head and six weeks later had to have a pump exchange. He started having problems not even a year later. We found out he had an aneurysm in his chest from his LVAD which led to more strokes. He had finally been approved for a heart transplant but the strokes were just too much and he didn’t have time, he had a major brain bleed that was just too much and there was nothing the doctors could do for him. BJ’s life on this earth is going to continue in a way that is so wonderful, He was able to donate several of his organs to save other people’s lives. We wanted so bad for him to have a new heart but that was not God’s plan. We believe his life on this earth was meant to touch so many lives and to save lives with his organs. We pray for all that is receiving. He is preceded in death by his infant brother, Conner Allan Miller, Grandmother Linda Marie Miller and Grandfather Felix Sonny LaCaze and a cousin Gregory Randle Singletary. He is survived by his parents Bryan Miller, Sr. and Christi Miller. One brother Kasey Allan Miller, Grand Mother Martha LaCaze, Grandfather Bobby Miller and Grand Parents George Culpepper and Katherine Culpepper. Aunts and Uncles, Lyle Miller and partner Claudine, Nathan Miller and partner Brenda, Cecile Chelette and husband John, Trudy Theriot and husband Hilton, Jimmy Hijar and wife Lisa, Louis Hijar and wife Margarita, Justina Canzoneri and husband Brian, Pablo Hijar, Cory LaCaze and wife Amber and Tray LaCaze and wife Lynn. And a host of cousins that were more like brothers and sisters. We would like to extend our sincere thanks and love to the many many nurses and doctors at Baylor Scott and White in Dallas Texas for all the care, love, and support for our son. They gave us five extra years with him. And for that we are so grateful. Pallbearers will be Dylan Ledoux, Lucas Cheatwood, Matt Durr, Colt Connell, Austin Busby. Taylor Israel, Jared Dease, Dayton Trichel, Jacob Cruse and Austin Morgan. A service officiated by Bro. Bill Hudson, Bro. Bruce Mitchell, and Bro. Roger Matkin will be held at 10am Friday, May 21st at the First Baptist Church Provencal. Burial will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Vowels Mill.
