Funeral Services for Mrs. Billie Charlene Norsworthy will be held at 2 pm on Satuday, July 11, 2020 at Shady Grove Church in the Bellwood community. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemtery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 12 noon until service time at Shady Grove Church. Billie Charlene Norsworthy age 73 of Natchitoches, LA. Joined our Saviour’s angels on July 1,2020. She was born August 20,1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Leo Johnson and Jewell Lee Johnson. Billie was preceded in death by her parents and her niece Stephanie Shrode. Billie was an active member and loved to worship at Provencal Free Methodist Church. Billie was so talented in Arts and Crafts with beautiful handwriting. She loved to tend to her flowers and was an excellent cook sharing with her family the recipes learned from her father and grandparents. Billie could cause hysterics with a calculated look or a word. She was our family historian, being the go to person for birthdates, marriages, and passing. Billie with her unique sense of what to do was a person that everyone wanted to get to know better. Survivors include her beloved husband Wayne Norsworthy of Natchitoches,LA, her adored son Rodney Brister of Leesville, LA, three sisters; Jewell Laverne Gibbins of San Antonio, TX, Gwendalyn Burley of Longview, WA, and her beloved “sissy” Yvette (Doug) Davis of Longview, WA and numerous nieces , nephews and cousins.
