Beatrice Strebeck Lofton was born July 2, 1957 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Amos Irving Strebeck and Linnie Beatrice Arnold Strebeck. She entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2023 at her home in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband James Boyd Lofton Sr. and her daughter Veronica Marie Lofton; her parents Amos and Linnie Strebeck; brothers David “Sonny" Strebeck and Alvin "Pig" Strebeck; and sisters Betty Strebeck and Charlene Strebeck Kilgore.

Beatrice worked for the Office of Motor Vehicles for 33 years. Her coworkers and customers loved and cherished her throughout the time she was employed and after she retired.

She was a lifetime member of the Nazarene Church. She faithfully attended Friendship Church of the Nazarene for the past 18 years and considered her church family as part of her extended family. Beatrice was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was humble, giving, and loved the simple things in life. All that knew her loved her, and she was a second mother to many. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and friend to so many.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, her daughter Monica Lofton Chumley and her husband Chuck Chumley of Natchitoches; son James Boyd Lofton Jr and his wife Allison Methvin Lofton of Natchitoches; son Michael Christopher Lofton and his wife Jennifer Harris Lofton of Bossier City; and her grandchildren Tyler and his wife Falicity Chumley; Luke and Jacob Chumley, Aidan, Gavin, Riley and Patrick Lofton; and Journey and Addison Lofton, and her sisters Lois Ann Tillman and Patsy Lofton Lewis.

A service to honor her life will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 29. 2023 at Friendship Church of the Nazarene located at 88 Friendship Rd, Robeline, LA 71469.  Burial will follow at Belmont Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Wednesday, June 28th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home and again on the day of the service from 9 am until service time at the church.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Benny Kilgore, Kevin McClain, Ricky Strebeck, Jacob Chumley, Tyler Chumley, and Kenneth Lofton.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Dhawan and his staff at MD Clinics, Dr. Wangjam and the staff at LSU BMT clinic, and Hospice of Natchitoches.
