Beatrice Lawrence

Beatrice Lawrence, 83, of Natchitoches, was born on September 5, 1939, in Cloutierville, LA, to Noah Mitcham and Rosa Vercher Mitcham.  She passed away on August 15^, 2023 at her home in Natchitoches. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Verler Mitcham, Dorathy Mitham, Elizabeth Mitcham, and Herbert Micham; husband Captain Milford Lawrence; granddaughter, Heather Rushing; and her great-grandson, Dylan Wilder. 

She is survived by her son, Dwayne Rushing and wife Tammy; her daughter, Cindy Rushing; grandchildren, Alicia Valet, Tanner Clemons, and Heath Rushing; her great-grandchildren, Karley Wilder, Phoenix Ford, Keaton Rushing, and Wesley Rushing.  

Beatrice was the matriarch of the family. She loved life, which she lived bold, strong, and determined. She was the proud wife of Captain Milford Lawrence. She loved to paint, which led to her becoming a published artist. And in the words of Bea…she did it her way!
