Barbara Neuhauser

Barbara (Barbie) Neuhauser, 84, passed away on May 14, 2024.  She was born on October 9, 1939 in Strawn, Texas, to George and Janie Guydis. She was a resident of Natchitoches and a devout member of Immaculate Conception Church.  Preceded in death by her husband, Ken Neuhauser, they owned and operated Country Lanes Bowling Center of Natchitoches.  Also preceded in death were her two sisters, Dolly Kostiha of Strawn, TX, and Betty Gallagher, of Fort Worth, TX.

She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Arafat of Natchitoches, one step-daughter, Mary Ellen (Bobbie) Cox, of Carthage, North Carolina; one niece, Terry Pollard (Jeff) of Fort Worth, TX; and 2 nephews, George (Melissa) Gallagher and Joe (Lane) Gallagher, both of Fort Worth, TX.  She had 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Our heartfelt thanks to her granddaughter, Cne’ Broussard and staff at NRMC.  A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the community in Natchitoches, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

Funeral services for Barbie will be held on Friday, May, 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Natchitoches.  Burial will follow at Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn, TX on Saturday, May 25, 2024. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home from 5 PM til 7 PM with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM.
