Ashley Elise Session

A graveside service for Ashley Elise Session will be held at 10 am Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Fern Park Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Monday, September 13th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Ashley, 25 years of age, took her first steps in heaven on Saturday, September 11, 2021. She was born on August 6, 1996 in Shreveport, LA. To know Ashley was to love her, she was always happy, always smiling, and only fussed when she was hungry (a family trait). She had a smile that would light up a room and tons of beautiful black hair. Her favorite times were spent outside listening to birds sing. One thing is for sure, Ashely was a fighter. She wasn’t suppose to live longer than six weeks but we were blessed with 25 years. Her aunt Kaitlin nicknamed her Chuck Norris because she remained a fighter up to the very end. Even when doctors would say it was the end, she would fight to stay with us. She will always be in our heart and was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and aunt. She is survived by her mother, Micky Harper and husband Michael; father, Darnell Jackson; sister, Madeline Harper; brothers, Christopher Harper and Alex Harper; maternal grandmother, Carla Miller; maternal great grandmother, Ann Miller; aunts, Jennifer Foust and Gwen Jones; two cousins that were like siblings, Kaitlin Hatten and Logan Foust, as well as numerous other cousins. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Terry Hatten. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Holy Angels for the care and compassion shown to Ashley.
