Arthur Brown, Jr.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Arthur Brown, Jr., 84, will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at 2 pm in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Billy Martin, Yancy Martin and Butch Rogers officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at St. Maurice Cemetery in St. Maurice, LA.  The family will receive friends from 10 am until 2 pm on March 27th. Papa Brown was born on January 25, 1935, in Natchitoches, LA to Arthur and Ida Brown and passed away March 5, 2019, in Natchitoches, LA. Papa Brown served in the United States Airforce and retired after 22 years, 1 month, and 22 days of honorable service.  He was a commercial fisherman and an avid hunter for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ida Brown; sisters, Cotton Lonadier, Rosa Tingle, Louise Waters, and Nelda Martin; brothers, Ernest Brown, Talmadge “Buddy” Brown, and Dwight Brown; and a son-in-law, Timothy Brian Davis. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Kay Brown; children, Krystal Brown and Michael Judah; his special children, Jamie Steadman, Carolyn Pullig, Deano Pullig, and Breanna Graham; grandchildren, Nathaniel Davis, Joseph Brown, and Anna Judah; a special nephew that was his hunting and fishing buddy, Jerry Waters; as well as numerous special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Wesley Marin, Jeremiah Daigle, Ben Wood, Mark Beach, Matt Gourdon, and Tommy Waters.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Brown, Nathaniel Davis, Deano Pullig and Michael Judah. A special thanks to so many that provided support and prayers during such a difficult time.  May God bless each of you in a special way.
