Artherine McDonald Parker

Funeral service for Mrs. Artherine McDonald Parker will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin, LA. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until service time on Saturday the 28th at Blanchard-St. Denis. Artherine was born on April 4, 1943 to Arthur McDonald and Evelyn Ebarb McDonald in Converse, LA. She passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2022 at the age of 79 in Mansfield, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Horace Parker; a brother, Gene McDonald; and a sister, Louise Hicks. Artherine was the oldest daughter to Arthur and Evelyn and a great many of her responsibilities were to help raise her younger siblings. She enjoyed her coffee time in the mornings and had numerous friends that would visit her daily to drink coffee. She was an animal lover and had two poodles that she deeply cared for and spoiled. She loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all that are left to cherish her memory. She is survived by her sister, Liz Tewalt and her husband Jerry; a brother, Roy McDonald; sister-in-laws, Earlene Boudloche and husband Huey and Verline Parker, and Joyce Parker; brother-in-law, Jessie Parker and wife Gilda; nieces, Amy Long, Stephanie Mims, Angie Foshee, and Christy Bass; and nephews, Charles Tewalt, Wesley McDonald, Roderick Tewalt and Noel Hicks. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Chad Long, Ashton Powell, Jerry Tewalt, Charles Tewalt, Bradley McDonald, and Noel Hicks.
