Arland Troquille

Arland Troquille passed away at the age of 72 on February 3, 2024. Born on February 4, 1951, in Pineville, LA, Arland was a beloved husband, father, paw paw, brother, and friend.

 Arland was known for his dedication to his family. He worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones and was a central figure in their lives. As a heavy equipment operator, he displayed exceptional skill and commitment in his career.   In addition to his professional accomplishments, Arland served his country as a member of the Army National Guard.   Beyond work, Arland had a passion for deer hunting. This hobby brought him great joy and allowed him to connect with nature while creating lasting memories with family and friends.

 Arland's passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Hudson Troquille, children Joseph Arland Troquille Jr., Joshua Lee Troquille, Melinda Swain, Dewey Sharp, Steven Sharp, Ricky Watkins; his brothers Henry Matthew Troquille, Solomon Dewayne Troquille, Kenneth Ray Troquille; sister Bettie Faye Hudnall; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 Remembered as "Paw Paw," Arland cherished his role as a grandfather to Meagan, Garrett, Isabella, Madison, Madison, Zoe, Hayden, Charlotte, and Everett. He was also a great-grandfather to William, Juliette, and Alexander. The love and bond he shared with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought immeasurable happiness to his life.

 Arland was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Henry Troquille and Elizabeth Delrie Troquille; brothers Joseph Henry Troquille Jr., Paul Dewey Troquille, James Newton Troquille, Hubert Mitchel Troquille; sister Laura Louise Hicks; sister Nettie Ann Meeks; and brother Michael Eugene Troquille.

 A visitation to honor and remember Arland will take place at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home located at 848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457 on February 8, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at the same location on February 9, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at Gorum Cemetery in Gorum, LA.  Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Joseph Troquille, Joshua Troquille, Michael Lachney, Clint Schilling, Mark Kerry, and Steven Sharp.  Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Martin and Dewey Sharp.

 Arland Troquille's contributions as a husband, father, paw paw, brother, and friend will always be remembered. He touched the lives of many with his hard work, dedication, and love for his family. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
