Andrew Nicholas Gilbert

From an early age, Andrew showed his excitement for life, and all he could learn. An avid reader, his enthusiasm for nature, science, playing the violin and powerlifting continue to inspire us. Throughout years of extreme adversity, Andrew soldiered on with heroic persistence.

He is predeceased by his Grandparents, two Uncles and Aunts, including his distinguished Godfather, Dan Comstock.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Trish & Don Gilbert, his brother, Bryan, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and faithful friends.

With great courage, Andrew did so much more than endure.  As we suffer this immense loss, his example teaches us not to give in, but to prevail.

The visitation will be held at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches on Saturday, January 7th from 4-6 pm, with the Rosary at 6 pm.

The funeral mass will be at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches on Sunday, January 8th at 2:00 pm.
