Amanda Kaye Milam

February 20, 1970 — October 2, 2025

Amanda Kaye Milam, 55, of Natchitoches, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025 surrounded by family and loved ones. Born on February 20, 1970, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Amanda spent most of her life in Natchitoches, where she raised her children, and touched countless lives with her warmth, humor, and deep compassion.

Amanda devoted many years of her life to her work as a dental assistant, where her gentle nature and genuine care for others made every patient feel at ease. Outside of work, her greatest joy came from being a mother. She adored her children, Mallory and Timothy, more than anything in the world, and they were the heart of her life.

Amanda’s faith in Jesus was steadfast and gave her strength through every season. She was known for her big heart, her quick wit, and her ability to make everyone around her laugh. Her friends will forever remember her as fun, hilarious, and the kind of friend who showed up – always ready with a story, a smile, or a helping hand.

She is survived by her children, Mallory Milam and Timothy Milam; her mother, Dorothy Bice Smith; her sister, Kelly Stacy; and her brother, Patrick Smith. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Robert Neal Smith, whom she cherished deeply and spoke of often.

Amanda loved fiercely, cared deeply, and lived with joy. Her spirit will continue to shine through the many lives she touched, and her memory will be held close in the hearts of those who loved her most.

A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held on October 11, 2025 at Blanchard St. Denis in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Visitation hours are from 1-3pm with the service to follow at 3pm.
