Alton Hightower

A memorial service for Alton Edward Hightower will be held at 3 pm on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until service time on the 8th in the funeral home chapel. Alton, 82 years of age and a resident of Robeline, passed away on January 1, 2021 in Bossier City, LA. He was born on November 23, 1938 to Clyde and Polly Ann Flores Hightower in Robeline, LA. He proudly served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy and ultimately retired from Military Sealift Command after patriotically serving his country in Vietnam. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Saffel and her husband Flient; granddaughter, Skylar Saffel; and brothers, Dan Hightower and Frank Hightower. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelly Sue Hightower; a sister, Sybil Roberts; and a brother, Charles Hightower.
