Edward Nobar 'Tony' Vartenian

Funeral service for Edward Nobar 'Tony' Vartenian will be held 8 AM Saturday, December 4, 2010 in St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. John O'Brien officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery at Natchitoches, La. under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, December 3, 2010 from 5 PM until service time in the church with a rosary at 7 PM Tony, 19, of Natchitoches, La., died Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport in Shreveport, La. He was a native of Chicago, Il. Tony was a freshman at Northwestern State University and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Avedis Vartenian. He is survived by his parents, Nobar Avedis Vartenian and Adriana Zacarias Vartenian; one brother, Aram Vartenian of Natchitoches, La.; maternal parents, Delfino Zacarias and Eloisa Zacarias of Chicago, IL; paternal grandmother, Arousiak Vartenian of El Dorado, Ar.
