Funeral service for B. D. McLaren will be held 11 AM Friday, October 20, 2006 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Jacob Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery at Flora, La. Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2006 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. McLaren, 84, of Flora, La., died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in his residence at Flora, La. He was a native and lifelong resident of Flora, La. He was a retired salesman for L. H. Johnson Wholesale at Natchitoches, La. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He is precede in death by a daughter, Melba Marie Kay; grandson, Dennis Kent Kay; parents, Albert McLaren and Zelma Roy McLaren. several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Emeline Moreau McLaren of Flora, La.; one daughter, Sue McLaren Vascocu and husband Bill of Port Allen, La.; son-in-law, Lavelle Kay of Provencal, La.; grandchildren, Danny Lavelle Kay and wife Anita of Vowells Mill, La., Donna Kay Guilliams of Flora, La., Kimberly Vascocu Baker and husband Sam of Flora, La., Shane Vascocu and wife Missy of Port Allen, La.; fourteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Mary Lee and husband George of Flora, La.; two half-brothers and one half-sister. Pallbearers will be Jason Kay, Johnny Kay, Joey Kay, Kavin Boyd, Shane Vascocu, Brandon Boyd, Russ Guilliams. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Kay, Bill Vascocu, Sam Baker, Lavelle Kay, George Lee, and Gary Vascocu.
