Service for Verda Moore Hinton will be held 2 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Glenn Flenniken officiating. Burial will be in Marthaville Cemetery at Marthaville, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 9 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Hinton, 88, of Natchitoches, La., died Saturday, September 2, 2006, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. She was a native of Marthaville, La. She was retired from DeBlieux's Ladies Wear. She was a member of Robeline Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Hinton; parents, Frances Moore and Idalia Rains Moore; sisters, Verma Jenkins and Dosia Milstead; brother, Clarence Moore. She is survived by one daughter, Darilyn Fitts and husband Alan of Toro Community, La.; two grandchildren, Shasta Forehand and husband Arthur of Toro Community, La. and Heath Fitts and wife Amanda of Pineville, La.; great grandchildren, Danzey Forehand, Kawliga Forehand, Alan Fitts, Aeryn Fitts; one sister, Audrey Elkin of Dallas, Texas Pallbearers will be Heath Fitts, Arthur Forehand, Laura Dupree, Alvin Moore, Gordon Hinton, and Shane Blanchard.
